Turquoise is one of the most treasured gemstones in history, valued by ancient civilizations for its beauty and metaphysical power. Turquoise is calming, protective, and associated with tranquility, balance, and creativity.

The Navajo commonly used beads to tell stories and pass them down from generation to generation. These beautiful Navajo pearls are sterling silver beads crafted by silversmiths from the largest Native American tribe. Navajo pearl, also known as desert pearls, originate from the Navajo Nation and date back to the late 1500s. The Navajo were creating these extraordinary beads from the natural materials that were available to them. Time went on and new material became available with the introduction of silver by Spanish explorers.   It is believed around 1875 the transition to sterling silver beads ensued.
