The Buffalo nickel or Indian Head nickel is a copper–nickel five-cent piece that was struck by the United States Mint from 1913 to 1938. Emblazoned with a majestic buffalo on one side and a proud Native American chief’s profile on the other, this coin is, perhaps, one of the most emblematic symbols of the American West.
These Nickels are in fair to good shape. Most have no date as it has worn off, a typical problem with the design of these. They may have dings, dents, scratches, heavy wear, corrosion- these are authentic and 80+ years old. Just adds character to these historical pieces.
